Katrina Cain’s music has been described as everything from Americana to country to pop. Her journey in life and the musical world has unfolded on both coasts and in the American southwest, and when asked where she’s from, “Dallas born, Yankee bred” is the easiest answer.
Her standout performances on Season 15 of NBC’s The Voice propelled her into public consciousness, beginning with her haunting rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon.” Had half the teams not already been filled, judge Adam Levine said of her blind audition, she “should have been a four-chair turn.”
Katrina is a full-time performer, songwriter, and studio vocalist and divides her time between Austin, Nashville, and Los Angeles. Katrina was an official SXSW 2018 and 2019 performer, showcased at Americanafest events in 2022 and 2023, and has opened for Raul Malo (of The Mavericks), Gary P. Nunn, Angel White, Bri Bagwell, The West Texas Exiles, Isaac Hoskins, Sarah Jaffe, just to name a few. Her latest EP, “Gold,” was released on April 5th, 2024.
