From Detroit, where he taught himself guitar in middle school in the forbidden room of his parents basement, forming a metal band in the land of country music holdouts.
Then his dad took him to see Lyle Lovett at an outdoor amphitheater north of Detroit.
Now, after marriage, divorce, building and losing a lucrative business, heartbreak and hardship, Aaron lives in the Texas Hill Country, writing and performing songs about a lifetime of finding fuel in the tragedy.
