Blending cultural history with the area’s natural history, the Nature Center includes walking paths, a wildflower meadow, butterfly gardens, native plants as well as demonstration gardens and special programs.
Riverside Nature Center is located in the heart of Kerrville on the Guadalupe River at the junction of Town Creek. This former small farm has been transformed into an urban wildlife and native plant sanctuary. Come visit the arboretum with over 140 species of trees as well as cacti, glorious wildflowers, shrubs, native grasses, birds, insects and other animals. Meandering walking trails lead you through the Nature Center and down to the banks of the beautiful Guadalupe River.
