Singer-songwriter-musician, Susan Herndon finds her way to the Hill Country via St. Louis, MO, where she was born; Tulsa, OK, where she was raised; Paros, Greece and Clermont-Ferrand, France where she began performing~ busking on the streets; and San Antonio, Texas from where she recently moved.
Susan plays guitar, and piano, and upright bass with her band, the Bella Counsel. And if you’re hearing Susan live, you’ll hear a soulful Americana mix of her original songs along with folk, jazz, and country-rock covers.
Susan has toured extensively in the U.S. and in Europe and has 12 records of original songs. Her last album, Big Blue Beautiful Dream released in 2022 was recorded with her band, the Bella Counsel, and is said to be “as memorable as it is important.”
Named Best Singer-Songwriter in the Tulsa World Spot Music Awards, she has songs in indie films, and her song, “The Bad Roads of Oklahoma” was named one of the 10 Best Route 66 Road Songs by American Profile magazine.
