Though 2019 was scheduled to be the last EHCT, Kerrville cyclists and Schreiner University agreed to continue this long held event as a Kerrville community sponsored invitation to our town. The Fort Worth cyclists planned the 2020 ride and the Kerrville community were active apprentices. Cancelled in late March by COVID, we never imagined that COVID would still be an issue in 2021. But it is, along with the repercussions of Winter Storm Uri that affected our area. Our ability to mobilize enough volunteers has caused us to reimagine how we can still create an enjoyable experience for you this year.
We are not able to offer a supported ride, but we really want you come to Kerrville and enjoy our beautiful country roads and river trail! We have reimagined the traditional tour as a Do It Yourself (DIY) Tour. You can come to Kerrville to ride the Tour Routes ANYTIME in April and we give you Keys to the Hill Country, special “perks” from local businesses to have fun with.
Register for the DIY Tour with a $25 fee:
- Come anytime April 1 - 30, 2021
- Access the Tour routes (either Ridewithgps app or as a downloadable cue sheet)
- Acquire Keys to the Hill Country for various perks at local restaurants and other services
- Receive a $10 discount applied to the 2022 tour.

Next year, fingers crossed, COVID, weather, or other unforeseen hurdles will not be an issue. We plan to offer some fun additions to the traditional EHCT schedule. Look forward to live music at the new bar located on Schreiner campus, a game night of washers or volleyball, food trucks for after your ride, and maybe even a family Easter parade.
In the meantime, come this year to ride! Please register for our DIY tour here.
Thank you for your support and understanding,
The Kerrville EHCT team
