The Kerr County Historical Commission is offering a Summer History Camp for boys and girls ages 9 to 11.

Each morning of the week is designed with a theme to stimulate interest in Texas history. Local individuals and organizations representing Kerr County history are scheduled for daily presentations: Diggin' the Hill Country with the Hill Country Archeological Association on Monday; Livin' on the Frontier with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas on Tuesday; Frontier Entertainment with Clifton Fifer on Wednesday; A Day in the Life of a Texas Ranger with former Texas Rangers on Thursday; and Ranchers Then and Now with Julius Neunhoffer on Friday.

Registration will be conducted at the River Hills Mall on Saturday, May 4th and Saturday, May 11th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days.

The Kerr County Historical Commission is a county agency of volunteer residents for the purpose of initiating programs for the preservation of the historical heritage of the county. It is the responsibility of the Commission to determine the existence of historical buildings, sites, and cemeteries and to explore, describe, explain, and record information regarding the history of Kerr County.
